Built to be done, not watched.

Every screen-based programme faces the same risk: that children tap through it without thinking. The Passport is deliberately designed around active recall, doing and feedback — not passive watching — and around the teacher who delivers it. Twelve strands, three short lessons each, mapped to statutory PSHE/RSHE, the 2028 DfE reforms, and the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs 2030 skills.

Engaged is not the same as learning.

A child can be busy, delighted and fully occupied by a screen, and remember almost none of it. A headteacher named it precisely after using the Passport with her Y6 class:

We treated that as the brief. The answer has two parts: a design engineered for retention, not just engagement (retrieval practice, spaced mastery), and a teacher-led delivery that drives the reflection a screen can never guarantee alone.

Eight evidence-based principles, in every lesson.

Each lesson follows the same structure — and that structure is not arbitrary. Every stage applies a principle with a substantial research base in cognitive science.

A hook before the content
Every lesson opens on a real scenario that creates curiosity before any teaching. Willingham (2009).
Active learning
Drills, sorting tasks and mini-games keep pupils acting on the content, not receiving it. Freeman et al. (2014), 225-study meta-analysis.

Schools transformed maths and reading with cognitive science — retrieval, spacing, structured feedback. Personal development never had the same treatment. The Passport closes that gap.

The Passport is not a babysitter or a substitute for teaching — it’s an instrument a teacher plays. “Zero prep” means the planning burden falls to zero, so all the teacher’s energy goes into the part only a person can do.

What we’re honest about: this is early classroom use with a small sample. We’re not yet claiming statistically robust outcomes, and won’t until the evidence supports it. Early teachers flag real bugs and improvements that feed straight into the build.
